This clinic is designed for people that suffer from anxiety; GAD, Panic Disorder, PTSD. Even though it is taught in a group setting, this is a very private and personal experience. The lights will be low, presentations are given with visual aids (power point presentation, handouts, etc), and all activities are private; No group work or activities and you will never be asked to speak publicly. The utmost care and attention is given to accomodate those that are not comfortable in social situations. We are also open to allowing a spouse, friend, or family member to attend with you if you feel that you would like the support. Explore self-healing modalities that are effective and profoundly liberating when combating the debilitating effects of anxiety. Learn breathwork, meditation and gentle movement techniques that help to break the psychological, biochemical, and physical cycles that keep anxiety in your life. A presentation of what happens in your mind and body while experiencing anxiety, and tools to "turn off" the fight or flight response, and "turn on" the relaxation response will be taught in the first class. We offer Acupuncture (optional) during extended a guided meditation called Yoga Nidra in all sessions. A take-home program with daily exercises and lifestyle suggestions will be handed out as well as a Yoga Nidra cd to practice in the comfort of your own home. The combination of the methods that we explore are very powerful. Yoga Therapy is a blend of traditional Yoga practices, Ayurveda, Alternative Medicine, and modern medical science. We will also explore nutrition, herbal remedies, aromatherapy, acupressure, sound healing and movement. The more you know about anxiety and how to fight it, the easier your journey. During Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) at the end of each class, you have the option of adding an acupuncture treatment that is administered by a licensed acupunturists. The treatment
is specifically geared toward reducing anxiety. It is important to find as many tools that work for you as possible.
If you suffer from anxiety, whether it is situational or long-term chronic, this clinic will give you tools to empower yourself to heal from the inside out, and lessen the effects that anxiety has on your mind and body.
Common effects of anxiety that will be addressed in this clinic
*Difficulty controlling worry
*Excess anxiety and worry that is out of proportion to the situation most of the time
*Fear of Death or fear of illness causing death
*Excessive sweating, palpitations, shortness of breath, and Gastrointestinal issues
*Muscle tension -- shakiness, headaches
*Restlessness or feeling keyed up or "on the edge"
*Sleep disturbance (difficulty falling or staying asleep; or restless, unsatisfying sleep)
You don't realize how much anxiety controls your life until you begin to defeat the beast. It is a battle, and requires commitment, dedication, faith (in your own ability) and practice.

TAKING DONATIONS FOR THE SPRING SESSION FOR NEW REGISTRANTS AND GRADUATES. We cannot continue to offer this series without sufficient donations. We do not receive outside funding.
Graduates of the program are welcome to attend future sessions (donations are gladly accepted each time, but not required). Requested graduate fee for acupuncture during guided meditation for all 4 sessions is $25 or more. We recommend repeating as often as you like to keep you on track with your program and/or to help you through a step-down (medication) program (must be under healthcare practioner's care).

It is very important to be under a physician's care if you plan to discontinue medication. Discontinuation of anti-anxiety medications can lead to severe reactions.
