Yoga Therapy is is an integrated approach to health and wellness. Integrative Yoga Therapy brings the ancients insights of yoga into modern wellness programs. It utilizes modern scientific and medical understanding, as well as embarks on an exploration of the ancient practices of self healing through realization of our true nature and understanding our constitution through Ayurveda. Total wellness is achieved by living a harmonious existence, mind, body and spirit.
More often than not, yoga trainings avoid the topic of spirituality. Our distinguished guest lecturer, Dr. Henry Rosemont, Jr helps us develop an understanding of the importance and relevance of spirituality and offers guidance into how to implement spirituality into the therapeutic model.
Our program strongly suggests that our clients participate in private or group talk therapy with a licensed counselor in concert with the techniques we teach. Our licensed therapist faculty members, will address some of the more complex psychological aspects (e.g.core beliefs) as well as teach participants methods to keep themselves emotionally safe when working with this population.
